Santa Maria, CA (March 25, 2024) – Westar Associates, a prominent real estate development company, is thrilled to announce its plans to commence the development of the final phase of the 150-acre mixed-use Crossroads Project in Santa Maria, California.
Since 1995, Westar Associates has played a pivotal role in the acquisition, master planning, construction, and operation of the expansive 150-acre area bordered by Betteravia Road, U.S. Highway 101, and Crossroad Lane. This visionary project has transformed the landscape of Santa Maria, becoming home to the highly successful Crossroads At Santa Maria shopping center, featuring renowned retailers such as Home Depot, Walmart, Best Buy, Petsmart, and TJ Maxx, among others.
Over the years, Westar Associates has planned and/or constructed several phases of development within the project, including the College Square Shopping Center, Auto Mall, Crossroads Storage, Orion Professional Center, Grace Baptist Church, along with housing tracts, parks, soccer fields, and related infrastructure.
With the acquisition of the final three acres of prime land situated at the gateway to the entire project, located on Betteravia Road adjacent to Popeye’s restaurant, Westar Associates is embarking on the planning and design phase for this final portion of the project. Anticipated uses for this prime location include a hotel and restaurants, adding to the vibrant and dynamic atmosphere of the Crossroads Project.
