SANTA MARIA, Calif. – Santa Maria will soon be home to another popular doughnut chain.
The Crossroads at Santa Maria announced this week that construction on a new building in the center will begin soon and house Krispy Kreme Doughnuts
Currently, the closest locations for the store, which sells doughnuts, coffee and more, are Oxnard, Bakersfield and Fresno.
The Crossroads is located along the 2100 block of S. Bradley Road and is currently home to Home Depot, Walmart, T.J.Maxx, Best Buy and more.
Krispy Kreme is said to open there sometime in 2019. The location will include a drive-thru.
The announcement comes just weeks after Dunkin’ Donuts opened up shop in Santa Maria, which was also the chain’s first store on the Central Coast.
