LADERA RANCH, CA (March 16, 2020) – Westar Associates announced today that Orange County-based restaurant, Mama’s Comfort Food & Cocktails, is opening its first South County location in Ladera Ranch. Similar to its other restaurants, Mama’s will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner all day and offer an extensive menu of American traditional cuisines, comfort food classics, and cocktails including the 32-ounce Mama Mary and bottomless “Mamosas.”
Mama’s Comfort Food & Cocktails is owned by longtime restaurateur Pete Truxaw and partner Robert Corrigan, who also own three other locations in Huntington Beach, Los Alamitos, and Newport Beach. The new Ladera Ranch location will be the fourth restaurant to open, occupying a 3,500 square foot space, formerly occupied by Casa Ranchero, in the Mercantile West shopping center.

The casual restaurant features an all day, every day menu with over one hundred selections of breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The unique menu offers a wide array of traditional American dishes such as burgers, salads, sandwiches, pizzas, and shareable appetizers, along with comfort food staples such as chicken and waffles, homemade biscuits and gravy, and country fried prime rib. Also catering to families with young children and health conscious individuals, Mama’s offers “Kids Eat Free” specials, and a “Mama’s Fit & Skinny” menu that labels the gluten-free and vegetarian options available.
The full bar includes a California-focused wine list, beers on tap selected from local craft breweries, and cocktails such as the 32-ounce Mama Mary. Cocktail specials are offered to customers every day of the week including daily bottomless “Mamosas,” Martini Monday, Tito’s Tuesday & Thursday, Wine Wednesday, Old Fashioned Friday, and Absolut Saturday.
